Payment process

You can pay by credit card through the internet. After you place your order you will soon receive an automated email response. Depending on business hours and if all needed information is complete you will receive a second email containing a payment link from a LeTAO representative. Please confirm details or finish your payment through the payment link.
If you do not receive a response in your inbox, please check your junk mail folder just in case. If you have not been contacted within two days please contact LeTAO again, thank you.

We may contact you for confirming the information of your credit card (card number, card holder name and valid date) via your contact information.
Please understand you may not be able to pay by credit card when you make an order over 1,000,000 yen.
We will deliver products after credit card payment.

Delivery service

We may use different methods to deliver your products based on the type of products that you ordered (frozen products or refrigerated products).


Ways to keep products & Expiration date

[Frozen products]

Products will arrive frozen. If kept frozen the products will be fine until the expiration date.
Thawing in the refrigerator will be needed before enjoying. Many of LeTAO’s frozen products are thawed between 5 to 8 hours.
Some products need only 3 to 5 hours to thaw. These products are the Crème Renversee and the Venezia Rendez-vous.
After thawing has begun please store the product in the refrigerator and consume within 48 hours. Please consume the Venezia Rendez-vous within 24 hours after thawing has begun.
※Please avoid refreezing products due to changes in flavor and quality.

[Refrigerated products]

Your purchase will be delivered refrigerated for quality. Please consume the product as soon as possible after it has been opened, even if the product is not expired. Please store the products away from sunlight and in a cool dry place. See the recommended storage temperatures below.

Q. How long will it take to receive my order?


If your order and credit card payment has been confirmed successfully, you will receive your order in 2 days. Please note, there may be payment or email delays so please place orders an extra day or two ahead for smoother service.

※ There may be times that delivery is delayed due to bad weather conditions or traffic, your consideration is greatly appreciated.

Q. Do you have any other way of payment except by credit card?


We are afraid that it is currently only possible for you to make a payment by credit card, your understanding is appreciated.

Q. Can I make changes or cancel my order?


Depending on the situation. Please contact us through email. We will reply according to your situation.

Q. Do you have Halal products?


Yes. We are afraid that the gelatin used for our most famous product the “Double Fromage Cheesecake" is derived from pork, therefore this product is not Halal friendly. Contact us for information on Halal friendly products if you are interested.

Q. Do you have international shipping service?


We are afraid that we do not provide international shipping service.
It is possible for you to contact us by email shown below for the information of our products in Japan.

Q. Are there any places that you can not provide delivery service within Japan?


We cannot provide delivery service in some areas of remote islands in Japan. Also, it may not be possible for you to specify delivery times in remote areas in Japan.

Q.Can I send gifts to someone in Japan from abroad?


Certainly, even if you live abroad, if you order online, we will deliver the product to your friends, family, girlfriend, boyfriend or colleagues living in Japan.
Even those in Japan worried about ordering in Japanese can use English or Chinese. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact us at the email address below.

Q. How do I deliver a gift to a friend in Japan?


First, please jump to our order and delivery section using the link below:

Then, look over the products and click “Processing the order” at the bottom of the page. Next, please fill in the necessary information on the order form.
For gifts, enter the sender’s information in the upper area. After selecting the products and delivery date, please put in the receiver’s name, home address including zip code and phone number in the “Other requirements” section and click “Next”. Finally, after double checking your order please click “Sending”. After that an automated email response will be sent to you.

We will send you another email with an online payment link attached after your order has been confirmed with our staff. After checking the contents of the email please pay with a credit card. Finally, after confirming payment success, we will ship your order and it will be delivered to your designated address by a shipping company.

Q. I want to eat LeTAO cake during my stay in Japan. When should I order?


We recommend ordering early. Since the delivery date can be specified, it is possible to order before coming to Japan.

For example, you have a trip to Japan planned from July 10th to July 15th. If you want to eat a LeTAO cake at your hotel on July 12th, you can reserve it two weeks in advance and have it delivered on July 11th or in the morning of July 12th (the cake is frozen so time is required to thaw it).

In addition, it is necessary to check the number of products available so, please place an order at least one week before the desired delivery date if possible.

Q.What kind of gift can I use LeTAO sweets for?


LeTAO sweets can be used for a wide variety of gifts such as Christmas, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, weddings and relationship anniversaries as well as presents.

Q. What is the size of the whole “Double Fromage”?


It is 12cm diameter for one cake (about 3 ~ 4 servings).

Q. Why freeze a cheesecake?


In the beginning, the Double Fromage was just one of many cakes in our shop, but it began to grow in popularity. Requests from customers outside Hokkaido for home delivery increased so, we thought about how to freeze the Double Fromage.
It was commonly thought that once a cake was frozen it would spoil after thawing. We reviewed the recipe and developed a new freezing technology and after three years, we were able to create excellent frozen cheesecakes.
The frozen cakes use new freezing technology to preserve them and need time to thaw. For best taste and quality we recommend the cakes be thawed in a refrigerator for 5 to 8 hours. At around 5 hours the cakes will be like delicious ice cream and around 8 hours they will be fluffy like when they were made.
